I have been studying Christian Science for about three years and a half and have had many proofs of God's protecting care and ever presence. When our little girl was a year and a half old she had acute lung trouble and convulsions at the same time. She was healed in just a few Christian Science treatments and is now able to overcome many slight ailments for herself and has helped others when in seeming pain. Our last baby was born under very harmonious conditions. I am in better health than before, and the baby is a picture of health, a living testimony of what the truth can do.
Our nine-year-old boy was playing in the yard one day and ran into a pile of hot ashes, burning his feet quite badly, as he was barefooted at the time. He came screaming into the house, but I was able to remain calm and to declare the truth for him. The next day, when I looked at his feet, I realized how quickly and beautifully the truth had worked. To say that I am grateful for Christian Science does not half express my feelings, and I could not begin to tell all that it has done for me and mine. It has made our home more harmonious and made me a better wife and mother.
I am very grateful for the authorized literature and for the Sunday school, where the children learn how to use the Word of God for themselves. It is surprising how quickly they grasp the truth and how many times they can help us older ones to untangle the snarls of mortal belief. All I can do to show my gratitude is to try to live each day a little better than the one before, and this I am earnestly trying to do with the help of the Bible and the Christian Science literature.—Los Angeles, Cal.
