PERFECT DAY

From the July 1919 issue of The Christian Science Journal

To-day holds all the joy and good of yesterday,
Reflected and expressed;
To-morrow, but to-day made manifest.

And so the days, each one a glistening pearl
In the full strand,
Unfold at length unto the seventh,—
The Sabbath consciousness of God's great plan,
Perfect universe and perfect man,—
The day of rest.
