I wish to express my gratitude...

From the December 1920 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. My little daughter when three weeks old contracted pneumonia, and it left her with an ear trouble which became chronic. Abscesses would form in the ear and break, causing excruciating pain and many sleepless nights for both baby and myself. Although we did all that could be done for her in materia medica, this condition continued to grow worse as time went on until she was about fourteen months old. Finally in despair we decided to try Christian Science. I went to a practitioner and she lovingly took up the work, telling me there was nothing to fear. In a few days' time we noticed baby was walking alone, something she had not attempted before, for she would scream with fear if I let go of her a minute. The inability to walk was attributed to the ear trouble. The practitioner did not know the baby could not walk when she took up the work for her. The healing was complete; the child was walking perfectly in a short time, and, I am happy to say, hears perfectly and is in the best of health. For this I am truly grateful.

Our three children and I were healed of influenza. In each case the claim was met within twenty-four hours, and the children were out in the yard playing as usual. I was also healed of a severe cough which annoyed me very much. For all these healings I am truly grateful, grateful to God, to Jesus Christ the Way-shower, and to Mrs. Eddy. I am also grateful for the loving practitioners who are always so willing to show us the way.—
