A few years ago little hope was...

From the April 1920 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A few years ago little hope was entertained for my recovery, as the doctors had practically given me up. I suffered from growths on the kidneys, dropsy, and serious organic troubles, besides being a drug fiend. One day in desperation I asked for Christian Science treatment and in a very short time all desire for the drug left me. I was also healed of the abnormal growths. In three months I was a new woman, physically and spiritually.

The blessings we have received in our home have been wonderful, and I have been able to help others. In June, 1918, one of my sons had what is called brain fever. I treated him and he was relieved for a time, but after a few days we asked for help from a practitioner, and he was instantaneously healed. Two of our children were healed of diphtheria in a few days. We have had many other healings and for the physical help I am most grateful, but the greatest joy of all is the spiritual uplift we have received from the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. The help we get from the Sunday services is wonderful. I am indeed thankful to God for our many blessings, also grateful to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.—
