For fourteen years I was sick with kidney and bladder troubles, dropsy, rheumatism, sick headaches, and other ills. I was healed, made sound and well, by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I had never been to church, seen a practitioner, or talked with a Scientist, and had no idea what Christian Science was. My mother had had the book two years, but we had never read it and she only kept it because a friend had given it to her,—a lady who had been healed of almost complete blindness and several other diseases by reading the book. It was my father-in-law who got me to read it by telling of a man he had known who took medicine twenty-five years and was then healed through Christian Science. I got the book and began to read and in two days was healed of a bad sick headache. I became so deeply interested in my reading that I forgot the other troubles and when I thought of them again they were gone. I have been well since then and that was nearly three years ago.
I am more thankful than I can say to Mrs. Eddy for showing us the way to health and a better life. She has shown me who and what God is and what prayer means. We have all received many blessings from the little understanding we have of Christian Science. I hope what I have said will help some suffering one into light and health.
