I also would like to express my gratitude for Christian Science and the many benefits, both physical and mental, I have derived. Several years ago while passing through a swinging door in great haste, my middle finger was cut and severed at the base of the nail. The severed part was replaced and the finger bound. Treatment was asked for in Christian Science. As I am a musician, there was a great sense of fear to be overcome in regard to loss and deformity. After four weeks of treatment, however, the bandages were removed and it was found that a wonderful healing had taken place and a new nail was forming. To-day it would be difficult for anyone to tell that the finger had ever been injured.
Neither of my children has ever had a drop of medicine and the manifestations of disease that have appeared have been quickly and permanently healed through Christian Science, such ailments as chicken pox, earache, measles, and recently a very severe attack of pneumonia having been overcome. I was healed of a dislocated jaw in half an hour's treatment, while in a previous experience of the same kind it had been necessary to call in the services of a surgeon. When Christian Science found me I was practically an atheist, and I never deemed it possible to attain the peace of mind and happiness that a knowledge of Christian Science has brought to me. While I am grateful for the physical healings, my deepest gratitude is for the knowledge of a demonstrable Principle with which to work out the problems of existence.—
