I have been slow to take advantage of the privilege of expressing through our periodicals my gratitude for Christian Science. I hardly know where to begin to enumerate my blessings and could not count them if I should try; but this is a fact, that where once there was discord, inharmony, and much fear, now there is a peace and joy which was unknown before. As the truth which is revealed in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy is better understood and lived, fear is being eliminated and greater freedom in every way experienced. I am very grateful for the healing of blood poisoning, chronic sore throat, catarrh, and many physical ailments, but for the mental healing and spiritual uplift, which has changed my whole outlook on life, I am most grateful. My greatest desire is for progress in the understanding of Truth and Love and that I may hold steadfastly to those thoughts which heal and bless all mankind.
My love and appreciation for our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, whose purity, patience, and courage have revealed to us this wonderful truth, grows daily as I realize even in a small way the debt the world owes her for the discovery of Christian Science. I am grateful for our literature, including The Christian Science Monitor, which educates and enlightens and spreads "undivided the Science that operates unspent" (Miscellany, p. 353).— Flint, Mich.
