Some years ago, when I first became interested in Christian Science, I took my little boy to have treatment. From his birth he had been a most delicate child always under the doctor's care, and the doctors had little hope of his ever growing up; they told me that he had no digestive faculties. He was six years old when I took him for Christian Science treatment and up to that time he had never had a natural action of the bowels. He was healed after the first treatment. In fact, when I brought him back to see the practitioner she inquired, "Is this the same boy or is it a brother?" so changed was he in appearance. His little white face had become rosy and healthy, and there was just the difference between a very sick child and a healthy one. He is now twelve years old and a fine, strong boy, and has never had or needed any medicine since. Last winter when an epidemic was raging in Belfast he was laid up; he seemed to recover very quickly, but a relapse set in, and his father, not being a Christian Scientist, at once sent for a doctor. The doctor shook his head and told me that he did not feel he could do anything. I at once telephoned to the practitioner who had helped him before. She came to see him and, though we had a couple of anxious nights, my boy came through the experience safely, much to the doctor's surprise, and in a short time was quite well. Christian Science has also brought much help and healing to myself, and I can never say how grateful I am to Mrs. Eddy for her great love for mankind, in discovering again for us the Christ, Truth.— (Mrs.) Mary McClements, Strandtown, Belfast, Ireland.
