I have so often been encouraged by the testimonies in the Journal and Sentinel that I feel it a duty as well as a joy to send one regarding the wonderful healing of my young daughter.
During the summer vacation, while running in the garden, she fell and injured her knee severely. Not being Christian Scientists, my relatives without consulting me called a surgeon, who disinfected and dressed the wound. The child remained in bed about two weeks with the leg in a splinter. Finally the surgeon allowed her to get up and travel to come home, and from that time on medical treatment was completely discontinued.
In the meantime the child's face had become contracted and had taken on a strange expression; it was only with difficulty that she could open her mouth or chew. When we arrived home, fearing the child had lockjaw, I immediately called up a friend who is a practitioner and asked her to treat the child, which she did right away and from that time on the child was entirely under the care of Christian Science.
