While working on a problem which seemed slow to yield, it came to me that I was expecting a great deal but had really given very little, and the law of Love is, "Ceasing to give we cease to have;" so with a heart full of gratitude I wish to tell what Christian Science has done for me. I began the study of Christian Science when a young girl, not for physical healing, but for a discordant condition in my home life, also for a hasty and selfish disposition. After reading the chapter on "Prayer" I knew I had found what I really needed and was overjoyed to find the discord met by my own understanding in a very short time. That was about twelve years ago and I have truly had much to be thankful for. After one treatment I was able to take off glasses that I had worn seven years, without the ill effects the doctor had said would follow.
When my mother passed on it was wonderful to be healed of grief and all sense of loss. Many ailments, such as colds, ringworm, constipation, and toothache have quickly been overcome with Christian Science help. For all the benefit from these and many others I am truly grateful, but for the right understanding of God and man I am even more thankful. I am also grateful for the Christian Science literature.
