I am very grateful for Christian Science; it has always met the needs in our home whenever it has been rightly applied. There have been many times when the way has seemed dark, but the truth has always cleared the path. Many times this clearing has seemed slow, but after each overcoming there has been more patience manifested. I did not take up Christian Science for a physical healing, but have had many since. My four children have known only Christian Science and their every need has been met. They have been helped through various children's diseases. Recently during an epidemic the four children were affected; the younger and the older boy were very ill. Croup also presented itself at this same time and the condition to mortal sense was very alarming, but I am very grateful to say it was met and mastered through Christian Science treatment. The little girl was also very ill and it seemed as though she remained in the same condition. One morning when I was talking with the practitioner she detected a sense of doubt in my thought, and from the next treatment there was immediate response. In about a week the children were up.
I am so grateful for having this truth to raise my children in. One evening the little boy who is five years old began crying with earache. He was suffering a great deal but I knew if I could get him to grasp one statement of truth he would respond immediately. I told him his ear was to hear with and that he must be real sure when error knocked not to hear it, but just to keep listening for the truth to knock. Finally he smiled through his tears, and I then knew the right chord had been struck and that harmony was the positive result. Shortly afterwards the boy was singing; he was healed, and I was truly grateful. My husband was healed of a severe attack of acute indigestion and of quinsy, and the healing has been permanent.
Christian Science has not only met sickness, but it has unraveled a condition that existed in my life for eighteen years. By listening to the guidance of the "still small voice," and taking each step slowly, as it came to thought, I was able to locate and finally correspond with a sister who did not know of my existence nor that she was not under the roof of her own parents. This was surely a positive proof of how the truth, when rightly applied, does meet every situation, for this sister was hundreds of miles from me. We certainly have a great deal to be grateful for and I could not begin to tell of the many more wonderful helps and healings we have had, and witnessed, through the application of this truth.
