I have received so much good from the testimonies in the Journal and Sentinel that I should like to add mine. My occupation is grinding on an emery wheel. Last spring my partner got some dust in his eye and had to lay off a day; the doctor told him he came near losing his sight. I felt grateful at the time that divine Love was protecting me; and it became my privilege to prove it, for the next day I got something in my eye. I did not go to a doctor to have it taken out. It gave me a lot of trouble that night but I held to the truth; I knew that the power of God could remove the dirt out of my eye better than any human hand could. It gave me no more trouble, although it was over a week before it came out; but I lost no time. In about another week I got another piece of dirt in my eye. It gave me great pain that night, which was almost unbearable, but I kept on declaring the truth. About nine o'clock I thought I would have to give up and go get a doctor to take it out but, thanks be to God, just then as if by magic it was removed. I could feel it go just as though some one were taking it out, but it was the power of God and not a human hand that removed it. Since that time anything that has got into my eye has not stayed, but has come out immediately.
I am very grateful for Christian Science and the little knowledge I have. This was but a small demonstration, but to me it was the dearest and sweetest demonstration I ever had, and I give it with loving gratitude, hoping that some hungry seeker for Truth may receive some good from it, as I have from the testimonies of others.— Peoria, Ill.
