Christian Science has been a...

From the February 1921 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Christian Science has been a source of great joy to me and I wish to share with others some of the benefits received therefrom. In the winter of 1919 I was ill with what the doctor called influenza. I tried to apply my understanding of the truth in overcoming the disease, but in a few days I seemed to be getting worse, and called up a practitioner who very lovingly treated me, but not until I earnestly put into practice the understanding I had did the healing come. I also wish to say that Christian Science has blessed me immeasurably in business. When conditions would appear not to look so bright I would look away from sense testimony and realize that God is the source of all activity, and supplies all our needs when we rely wholly on Him.

I am very grateful for the Christian Science reading rooms, for the blessings I have received on going to these rooms for study and for the quiet and peace found therein, for the privilege of being of service to the cause of Christian Science, for having been able to help others, for the light that has come to me through the teachings of the truth which, when understood, makes men free. I am profoundly grateful for all the good received through the teachings of Christian Science, to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, to Christ Jesus the Way-shower, and to all those who have helped me along the way.—
