I am indeed grateful for this privilege of expressing my gratitude for Christian Science, for what it has done for me, for what it is doing for all the world, and for what it will do in time to come. Christian Science came to us when we most needed it; and it has never left, always being "a very present help in trouble." Through the study and application of its teaching we have had many proofs of God's care and protection.
We have had many healings in our family. I was healed of blood poisoning in its worst form; at another time, of pneumonia. Last winter I was healed instantaneously of an attack of influenza. Some of our healings have been through our own understanding of God's presence and power as taught in Christian Science; others, through the help of a loving practitioner. I am grateful for all the physical healings, but am most grateful for the spiritual regeneration which I am experiencing, for the glimpses into the real, and for the better understanding of the Bible. I thank God for Mary Baker Eddy, who was pure enough to receive these sacred truths, which she so lovingly has given to the world through Christian Science. I am grateful for what Christian Science has taught me of the divinity of Christ, a subject upon which I was very skeptical.
My desire is that I may understand and live more and more the Christ-religion as taught by Mrs. Eddy; that I may gain more spirituality and lose materiality, have love and compassion for my fellow-men and less criticism and fault-finding, more patience and obedience and less self. I am grateful for The Mother Church, for the Manual, and to the Directors of The Mother Church for their loving and untiring efforts to prove that "the Lord God omnipotent reigneth."— Dallas, Tex.
