Testimonies of Healing

I can truly say with the Psalmist:...

From the April 1923 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I can truly say with the Psalmist: "O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy." My heart overflows with gratitude to our loving Father-Mother, God, for many blessings I have received through Christian Science.

Before coming to Christian Science I was a physical wreck, being burdened with all kinds of ailments. As long as I can remember I had suffered from sick headaches, and for twenty years from an internal difficulty, wearing braces, trying all kinds of material remedies, and taking treatment from our family doctor, without permanent relief. After all material remedies had failed we sold our farm, expecting to move to a warmer climate for the health of myself and a son; but my attention was called to Christian Science, and through the faithful work of a practitioner we were healed. In May, 1918, when my son enlisted in the United States Marines, he passed the physical examination.

I am very grateful for the physical healings we have received in our home (which are too numerous to mention), but more grateful still for the spiritual understanding I am gaining every day from the study of our Lesson-Sermons and the Christian Science literature. Truth is indeed the way. Our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, tells us, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free;" and Christian Science teaches us the truth about God and man,— that God made man spiritual and not material.
