From the April 1923 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The many beautiful articles and testimonies published in the Christian Science periodicals have been, and are, a daily inspiration to me, and I am grateful for the opportunity of expressing my love to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of this wonderful religion that teaches us how to free ourselves and others from sickness and sin.

Ivy poisoning, bowel trouble, nervousness, rheumatism, and deafness,— the result of grippe,—have been overcome. Insomnia, which seemed to be chronic, disappeared when I learned, as Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 218), that "the consciousness of Truth rests us more than hours of repose in unconsciousness." Many other healings have come to us from the reading of the Bible Lessons. To learn that only the good is real brings comfort and assurance.

I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and for the privilege of class instruction, also for the help that has always been so lovingly given us. While these healings have been a blessing to me, the peace and joy that have come into my life through the study of Christian Science mean much more. It is my earnest desire to do unto others as I would have them do unto me.—
