I feel that the time has arrived for me to add mine to the numerous testimonies of blessings derived from Christian Science. Up to the age of fifty years I had lived a self-satisfied life, thinking that I knew all that was necessary, religiously and otherwise. Even when my wife was healed of paralysis, after having been pronounced by three physicians as hopeless, I still obstinately refused to apply Christian Science to my own affairs. At this time I was stricken with a serious lung trouble, which in my youth had been predicted as my doom. The coughing was so severe that I contracted a rupture in the groin. I was healed of the lung disease within a few days by Christian Science treatment. Previous to this healing I had been a regular partaker of the so-called social drink, and a constant user of tobacco. These habits left me within a week of the healing above mentioned.
While expressing my gratitude for the blessings I have mentioned, I must include the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and in our branch church; also class instruction. I am thankful to God for guiding me to the glorious light which was cast upon the world through our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, to whom my gratitude is beyond expression—
