For many years I suffered from a floating cartilage under the kneecap. Five years ago I had an operation performed by one of the best orthopedic specialists in the state. One year passed, and my condition became as bad as before. The cartilage would slip out of the socket, causing the most agonizing pain, which would last only a short time, but I was unable to get up without help. This happened time and again ; so I went again to see this specialist, to hear what he could do. He advised me to wear an elastic brace which I had been wearing for years previous to the operation. I did this, but it did not help me. He then told me that my case was incurable, and in time I would become crippled.
"Man's extremity is God's opportunity." I was so lame that I could hardly walk the day I called on a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly began work for me. After one treatment I was instantaneously healed. Right in her office I took off my brace and went home without it, and have not needed it since. It is true indeed that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need," as we read on page 494 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
