I have known of Christian Science for some time. It was presented to me by friends, and I had never before heard it spoken of. Before knowing of this Science I suffered from a kidney disease which, to mortal sense, is incurable. I followed a very strict diet, and took medicines of all kinds; but I did not suffer less because of this. These means were powerless to relieve me. Then I began treatment in Christian Science. I understood at the very first only one thing,—that it was God who healed; and from that moment I have never had any suffering, although I have paid no attention to my nutrition since then, for I eat anything. This marvelous healing was obtained through the study of Christian Science and of the Bible.
I have not been alone in receiving blessings from Christian Science: my wife has also been benefited in equally large measure by it. After being ill with a chronic intestinal disease for more than twenty years, she was healed just as readily, but with the help of a practitioner. We are deeply grateful to God for these proofs of His love; to Mrs. Eddy for the incomparable work which she has put within the reach of all mankind; and to those who have helped us to follow the way of Truth.— Paris, France.
