In the year 1904, I became interested in Christian Science. Since then God has been my only Physician. Shortly after beginning to attend the Christian Science services, and by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed of chronic constipation which I had always had. In babyhood there seemed to be partial paralysis of the bowels, and I was so sickly I did not walk until I was two and a half years old. I took a lot of medicine, but never received permanent relief until I turned to Christian Science. I have been healed of malarial fever, boils, and toothache; and severe sick headaches have been overcome in a very short time through the loving help of a practitioner. I had always been subject to colds, but that difficulty each winter is becoming less and less. Several years ago I had a most severe attack of influenza. I was in my room only four days, but the trouble left me deaf in one ear for several months. It was only another proof of God's loving care when the healing of this finally came.
I am grateful for the overcoming of fear and self-consciousness when I have to play the organ or piano before the public. I am grateful for all the Christian Science literature, and the words in some of our hymns are an inspiration to me. I have always rejoiced when I could help others. The Bible is a new book to me. I am grateful for the very many blessings I have had, and am having every day, in Christian Science.— Middlesborough, Kentucky.
