When Christian Science was presented to me I was in a hospital after a severe operation, with the expectation of three more as soon as I was able to stand them. A Christian Science pamphlet had been sent to me. I read it two thirds through the first day, and on awakening the next morning I felt so changed I thought I would finish reading it; and it indeed brought a great light. After my return home it seemed necessary to take me back to the hospital again. I, however, called the family together and asked them not to send me. After twenty-four hours of suffering I asked for Christian Science help, which was so lovingly given that in a few minutes after the practitioner left me I was healed. I ate luncheon with the family, and went out boating and entertained company within the next three days. I had many tests after this, as it was necessary for me, "having done all, to stand." I was healed of the need of glasses after wearing them for seventeen years. My husband's eyes were also healed; and about this time he was healed of tuberculosis in its first stages. Our little girl was quickly healed of diphtheria.
I have had many proofs of God's care in the way of supply, protection, and healings. I am very grateful for these healings; but even more grateful for the spiritual help, for when I have earnestly applied this truth it has met my every need. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who so unselfishly toiled to give us this new-old truth, and to all the practitioners who so lovingly helped me, and are helping me, on my journey from sense to Soul. — Atwater, Ohio.
