One who has felt the touch of infinite Love finds it hard to express his gratitude in words. I can never begin to tell the half of what Christian Science has done for me, but shall at least try, thereby hoping to lead some weary wanderer in the wilderness of earthly thinking to the light, as revealed in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
For about thirty-five years of my life I was a confirmed inebriate; but thanks be to God, the understanding of a loving and true practitioner of God's law or Christian Science brought about my complete healing of this sin and many other errors that went with it. For several years past I have experienced the lovingkindness of God for His children, and am trying in a humble way to follow in the footsteps of the Wayshower, Christ Jesus.
A physical healing through Christian Science is wonderful; but the spiritual understanding which comes through the earnest study of Mrs. Eddy's writings, thereby revealing God and our relationship to Him, is much more wonderful and beyond mere words to express. No one need suffer from sin, disease, or poverty, if he will faithfully study Mrs. Eddy's writings and govern his thinking accordingly. One learns therein what the Father has already done for His children. We learn indeed that we are the children of God and "joint-heirs with Christ." Christian Science has wrought a wonderful change for the better in my outlook on life. I am deeply grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, for class instruction, and for the various activities so wisely provided by our beloved Leader for the furtherance of the Cause.— Louisville, Ky.
