Having been healed through the study and help of Christian Science, I feel I must obey the command of Christ Jesus, "Freely ye have received, freely give." It is with great joy that I bear witness to the healing power of Truth as taught in Christian Science.
After undergoing an extensive operation and being sent home from the hospital, I was taken with a serious hip trouble. For one year I passed through agonies I cannot describe. Everything that medical science and skill recommended was done. After a noted specialist of this city had made X-ray examinations and pronounced the trouble incurable, X-ray treatments were tried; but these had to be discontinued after a while, as the physicians said they were doing more harm than good. At last the doctors could do no more for me.
It was then that a member of my family sought help for me through Christian Science treatment. The healing power of Truth began to operate at once, and discordant conditions of all kinds have been overcome. Through the work of a loving practitioner the healing began before I fully understood how to work for myself, as taught in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The doctors said I should never be able to walk without the aid of crutches, but at last I was able to discard them. For over five years I have been free to walk everywhere; in fact, I can do anything I desire, and am very active.
