About fourteen years ago conditions in our family had reached such a state, owing to the excessive use of alcohol by one of the members, that our existence seemed to be ruined, and we doubted if a ray of light would ever again lighten our mental and material cares. I heard of Christian Science through my dear sister; and together with her I sought and found the true Christ-way. With an ever increasing knowledge of Truth and the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner the difficult situation began to improve. Often when the need seemed to be greatest and we could perceive no way out of it, the desert was transformed into an oasis by the recognition of the divine presence. Sickness, the effects of the terrible mental struggles which had ruined my health, gradually yielded to the best of all medicine, Truth. Besides this, I can testify to-day with my dear ones that all earthly goods which had been taken from us have been replaced an hundredfold by divine Love; but above all earthly possessions reigns the peace of God, which the world cannot give us nor take from us.
