I am so grateful for all the blessings that have come to me through the knowledge of Christian Science. I can hardly remember the time when I did not rely on God's power to heal, for I was a very small girl when my mother first became interested in the study of this truth.
I have been healed of measles, scarlet fever, colds, boils, lack of supply, and many other adverse conditions. Most wonderful to me, however, was my healing of appendicitis, several years ago, through the reading of the Lesson-Sermon. I had had several attacks of this trouble, each of which had been met with the help of a practitioner. One night I had an attack and suffered severe pain, from which I seemed to get no relief. My mother began to read the Lesson-Sermon to me. It seemed that the more she read the louder error screamed. I almost begged her to stop, for I could hardly hear what she said, the pain was so intense. But she did not stop. I think she read that same lesson over to me eight times, trying to realize and to help me realize the truth of each word read. At the end of that time the pain left me, and I fell asleep. I am thankful to say that I have never had a return of the trouble.
I am so grateful to God for His care, to Mrs. Eddy for her leading, and to each and every one who has helped me in my study of Christian Science. I am also grateful for the literature and for the Lesson-Sermons. — St. Joseph, Missouri.
