Something over seven years ago a new-found friend invited me to a Christian Science Wednesday evening testimony meeting. I have never ceased to be grateful for this invitation, which came at such a needful time, and I now see that it was divine Love using this means of leading me out of the wilderness of wrong thinking and giving me a higher and broader concept of God and His creation. Truly to one who was disconsolate, who labored and was heavyladen, this first coming to a Christian Science meeting was a glorious "feast of love."
I am so grateful for the physical healings I have had. Only a few weeks after beginning the study of Christian Science I was healed of pneumonia in a very short time. Later, congestion and difficult breathing were healed, but not so quickly. Severe headaches, lasting many days at a time, have disappeared. These healings brought to me joy and happiness such as I had never known before.
I am grateful for unnumbered blessings that have come to me through Christian Science, especially the consciousness of protection during the World War when our two sons were active in the service, the elder one overseas and the younger one in a far-away northern camp during an epidemic. At this time these words from Isaiah did mean so much to me: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Fear was destroyed. The boy in the northern camp was never ill. After many experiences overseas, the elder one returned safely, unharmed, happy and grateful, for he had realized God's loving care for His children. I feel so grateful for the help lovingly given me when the need at the time seemed so great.
