I know I have too long withheld my testimony of what Christian Science has done for me and mine during the past eleven years. During that time it has been our only physician, a preventive as well as a curative for every discord. I have seen scarlet fever healed during the night. At another time my son, fourteen years old, came home after catching his foot between an elevator and the landing; but he was healed in two days. Both healings were made with the help of a dear practitioner.
I have reason to be especially grateful for a permanent healing of congested organs, which caused untold agony. At times I was unable to sit or stand a moment at a time, without fear seeming to overcome me. I was afraid to eat almost everything, or even to drink cold water; but I am thankful to say I have been entirely healed. My healing seemed to be slow, but it was sure; and the spiritual uplift has been wonderful, as it taught me to rely more firmly upon divine Mind. I can never cease to be grateful to the dear practitioners and friends who have always been ever ready to help so lovingly. I am grateful to God, to Mrs. Eddy, who labored to give us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and for the Journal, the Sentinel, and our splendid newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor.—West Somerville, Massachusetts
