To one who had always been very skeptical about and prejudiced against Christian Science, my first healing was a seeming miracle.
Nearly four years ago I was suffering from partial blindness, throat paralysis, and many other ills, as the result of a severe case of black diphtheria. Each day I seemed to grow weaker, losing interest in everything. My father, who was interested in Christian Science, persuaded me to have Christian Science treatment. It was only after all hope in materia medica had been abandoned that I consented. We visited a practitioner in her home; and upon leaving her home, after the first treatment, I was wonderfully improved. My recovery was very rapid, and today I am in perfect health. Many chronic ailments, which were corrected at that time, have never troubled me since.
I am most grateful for all of the many activities of the Christian Science movement, and for the loving help of which one is always assured from practitioners. I am grateful to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for my slight understanding of Christian Science. — ,Medford, Oregon.
