Some years ago I was very seriously ill with what the doctors termed Bright's disease. After traveling to a number of watering places for relief, I finally returned home no better, and was persuaded to try Christian Science. This I did very reluctantly, and after five days' treatment by a practitioner I was entirely healed.
Although I was very much pleased with this wonderful healing, I did not give much thought or study to Christian Science. Then I awoke to find my business in a very deplorable condition, when all I had seemed about to be swept away. Through kindly advice I again turned to Science and asked for help from the same practitioner; and in what seemed a miraculous way my business, which appeared to be in a condition beyond recovery, was restored to me. From this awakening came my confidence in the power and presence of God, good. Since then my health has been entirely restored, my business has prospered, and I am learning to rely more on God, good, for my supply.
While I am very grateful for these blessings, I am more grateful for the understanding I have gained of the Bible and of my relationship to God. My daily prayer is that I may think good, talk good, and do good. I am also grateful to Mrs. Eddy that I am one of those who in this day and age have been able to get a glimpse of the truth so wonderfully told in her great work, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
