My thought is stayed on Thee, O God;
I cannot be dismayed.
Though dark, perplexing, seems the way,
Thy child is unafraid.
Omnipotence can never fail
Love's plans to consummate.
Mine the desire to hear His voice,
Obey, and meekly wait.

My thought is stayed on Thee, O God;
I cannot be dismayed.
Though dark, perplexing, seems the way,
Thy child is unafraid.
Omnipotence can never fail
Love's plans to consummate.
Mine the desire to hear His voice,
