Christian Science has unfolded in my consciousness the law of active right thinking, and in faithfully applying this law I have been able to glorify God's name in many demonstrations. Through humble prayer, and through searching the Scriptures and faithfully studying our dear Leader's writings, I have seen many evils disappear: nervousness, constipation, insect bites, warts, toothache, rupture, measles, influenza, tobacco smoking, burns, financial lack, self-pity, and hatred have all been healed. I am grateful for these wonderful proofs of God's healing power and protecting care.
The unfoldment of the twenty-third psalm helped me at one time to overcome the fear of contagion. One by one, as they appeared, the symptoms were mentally destroyed by the assurance that I should not want for wisdom, intelligence, and understanding to reflect God, and to know that His word is the law governing every case. Guided by Moses' experience as referred to on page 321 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I was obedient in casting out the serpent of fear, and the false mental pictures were effaced as I clung to the words of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy (ibid., p. 261), "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts."
I cannot express in words my gratitude for the truth as revealed to us in Christian Science. I owe all that I am and have to God, whom I have come to know as the one infinite, ever present, protecting Love, who never fails us if we are faithful to His promises and trust Him. I am grateful to Jesus the Christ, whose humble, mighty life lights our way and is the pattern for our demonstrations; and I am grateful to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, through whose consecrated life we have been given the "key" that unlocks for us the practical, healing truths contained in the Scriptures.— South Pasadena, California.
