For nineteen years I have earnestly endeavored to demonstrate what Job meant when he said, "Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace;" and in proportion to my obedience to the understanding of God which has unfolded to me, I have found that peace which passes understanding, and which the world can neither give nor take away. Many trials and difficulties have beset me on the way, but these have only served to make me seek more earnestly a still closer acquaintance with God, and to know and live the truth which Jesus said would make us free. To-day I am happier, healthier, and freer than I ever was before.
Sorrow because of the passing on of those very dear to me has been increasingly overcome, although in one instance the healing was slow. Severe mental depression, following the sudden passing on of my husband, was overcome only after months of patient and loving help from faithful practitioners.
Appendicitis was healed practically instantaneously, and acute indigestion, a liability to frequent colds, influenza, and a stiff shoulder, which I had for many years after rheumatic fever, have all been permanently healed during this time, in some cases without specific thought or treatment. Accidents of various kinds, such as a badly sprained ankle, burns and cuts, have been speedily overcome by the realization of the present availability of the unchanging, omniactive, and ever present law of God, the law of infinite Love. A tendency to indulge in unkind criticism, fastidiousness, and an exacting disposition are being overcome, and a larger capacity to reflect and radiate that Love which never fails, is bringing much joy into my life.
