The Christian Science Board of Directors announces the election of Miss Violet Ker Seymer as an Associate Editor of The Christian Science Journal, Christian Science Sentinel, and the French and German Heralds.
Miss Ker Seymer was born of English parents in Paris, France. Her early education was received in part from French and English governesses at home and in part from a private school in Paris, and in day schools in London, Dresden, and Brussels. She began the study of Christian Science in 1900, and two years later became a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church. She is now a member of Second Church of Christ, Scientist, London, England, in which she has served as First Reader and as President. For more than twenty-five years she has practiced Christian Science in healing the sick.
In 1926, Miss Ker Seymer was appointed a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, and she has been actively engaged in this work for the past two years, and has traveled extensively, delivering lectures in English, French, and German. She has been a contributor to the Christian Science periodicals for over twenty years, her first article having appeared in the Sentinel of January 12, 1907. She has also written many religious articles for the Home Forum page of The Christian Science Monitor.
