As Christian Science has been my only physician for the past twelve years, I wish to give my testimony. Christian Science has met all my needs, but there is one healing which stands out as a beacon, and which I wish to relate. It took place in the year 1918, when I was about eight years of age. I was taken ill with a severe attack of inflammatory rheumatism, which rendered my arms and legs helpless. Although my mother was having help in Christian Science, my father insisted upon calling a physician. I had medical treatment, but the case grew worse. After one week, during which time my mother was being helped by a Christian Scientist, the physician advised that my tonsils be removed, upon which my father decided to have Christian Science help for me. The work was taken up for me by the practitioner who was helping my mother, and at the end of a month I had been lifted from a condition of intense pain and suffering to one of complete health and happiness. I was also healed in a few weeks' time of an attack of St. Vitus's dance which seemed to follow as a result of the rheumatism.
It would be impossible for me to express in mere words my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me.— Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I wish to verify the above testimony, and to say that I was an eyewitness to the healing which took place. Conditions which had disappeared under Christian Science treatment reappeared under medical treatment, and the attending physician could offer no remedy which, to my husband's thought, would prove satisfactory. The distressing conditions which had reappeared under medical treatment again disappeared under Christian Science treatment, and a relative who witnessed the healing remarked that it "was just like magic."
