I feel that the time has come when I should publicly express my gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for Christian Science. I have been a student of this Science for five years, and in this short time it has brought about a marvelous change in my life. It has given me health, happiness, and peace of mind. I have experienced many physical healings—of extreme nervousness, heart trouble, hay fever, and other ills. I have also been healed of fear, for which I am indeed grateful.
I am most grateful for membership in The Mother Church and the local Christian Science Society. Coming into Christian Science just when I did saved me from spending many long weeks in bed, which was advised and urged at that time by my doctor. It seemed so unnecessary to me and such a waste of time! I had spent so much time in bed ill that I was growing tired of life and was willing to try anything. I shall never cease to be grateful for having turned to Christian Science for healing.
More than twenty years ago my mother gave me "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I very carefully put it away for safe keeping, and not until five years ago did I take it out and make any use of it.
