About twenty-six years ago I began the study of Christian Science. It was brought to my attention through the healing of a relative, who seemed to get a more demonstrable understanding of God than I had been taught in the orthodox church, of which I was at that time a member. Therefore, I decided to investigate.
Christian Science has indeed been a "pearl of great price." It has given me such a wonderful understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him. I have had many healings during these years. When our son was born I experienced a painless childbirth. On the ninth day following, a condition of poisoning manifested itself and I suddenly became unconscious. Those with me thought I was about to pass on, but this was overcome through the loving work of my husband, and within twenty-four hours I was able to be up and do the things necessary for me to do. This was sixteen years ago. Our son has found Christian Science all-sufficient for his every need and is an earnest worker in this great movement.
Several times I have been healed of blood poisoning, which was always overcome completely within a few hours. On three occasions I was healed of acute gastritis. At one of these times I became unconscious; and at another, a paralyzed condition appeared in my lower limb. Each time the difficulty was quickly overcome, with the aid of a practitioner, with no bad after effects.
