Christian Science has changed my whole life. I owe everything to it. When I was seriously ill with fever and poisoning after our baby was born, and the doctors had done all they could to save my life, there seemed to be no hope. My husband then asked me to try Christian Science treatment. He telephoned to the nearest practitioner, one hundred and sixty miles away. Help was at once given, and I then placed all reliance on God and slept for the first time in many days. In the morning the fever and all pain were gone; and I was well and about the house in a short time.
I started to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and three months later, through my new understanding, our little son was healed of rupture. About a year after this my husband suddenly became very ill and was in great pain. He insisted on having Christian Science treatment. As we were very young students and no other Scientists were near by, a loving, faithful worker came a long way to help us through what seemed to be very deep waters. We shall never cease to be grateful for her love and encouragement and for witnessing such a wonderful healing. Three years ago our son was healed in four days of bronchitis and inflammatory rheumatism. He has been a happy, sturdy boy ever since. I was also healed of constipation, from which I had suffered since childhood.
It is a great joy to know that I am overcoming faults of character, and learning to love mankind with a better understanding. I am so grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, for class instruction, and for having the opportunity of helping others. — Cork, Ireland.
