I have received many blessings during the years of my study of Christian Science and wish to express my gratitude for this Science as taught by Mary Baker Eddy, its Discoverer and Founder.
I am very grateful for a recent physical healing. I had been unable to read for any length of time without experiencing pain in my eyes, often followed by severe headaches. For this reason I seemed unable to read all the Christian Science periodicals or to study much. I earnestly took up the study of the spiritual definition of ''eyes" as given in the Glossary of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. At about the same time there appeared in the September, 1929, Journal an article entitled "Vision Spiritual." The understanding that came to me through the reading of this article in connection with the study of the definition of "eyes," as given in the textbook, destroyed in my thought the sense of painful material eyes, and I was healed. I am now able to read for hours at a time with perfect comfort.
I rejoice when I realize that erroneous thoughts of impatience, fear, anxiety, and worry are daily being replaced with more patience, love, gentleness, and calm trust in God. This change in my consciousness is bringing to me increased health, harmony, and peace.
