I wish to give this testimony in gratitude for having received so much through the study of Christian Science. From my childhood I had been a sufferer, enjoying very little health. Headaches, nervous indigestion, acidity, and stomach trouble were a few of the ailments which held me in bondage. My healing was not instantaneous, but was a gradual regeneration, for I can say truly that I have been reborn. My viewpoint has been changed from gloom to joy; many false traits of character have been overcome, and much fear destroyed.
I had undergone two surgical operations in one day. and after a summer spent in the mountains, found myself no better after this long vacation. Then, as a last resort, I turned to Christian Science for healing. Had anyone told me that it was primitive Christianity I was about to study, and that I would some day become a member of a Christian Science church, I should have said, "Impossible," because at that time I wanted nothing to do with anything religious.
To-day I am grateful that I am a member of The Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts, also of a branch church. I have been privileged to have class instruction with a loyal teacher of Christian Science. I am also able to impart the truth to the children in one of the Christian Science Sunday Schools as a teacher, and I am able to help my brother man.
