In grateful acknowledgment of the many benefits received I gladly give my testimony. I am increasingly grateful to the one who mentioned Christian Science to me. This beautiful teaching transcends all other means, many of which I had tried, for moral and physical healing.
Biliousness of many years' standing, for which materia medica could offer only temporary relief, has been permanently healed. I should like to mention also the complete healing of train sickness. I am exceedingly grateful for God's constant protecting love. While crossing a street I turned to speak to a friend and my foot caught in the rail of the tram line. I fell across both rails. Divine Love prompted me to propel myself off the tram line. A fellow student of Christian Science helped me to rise, and when I regained my feet I found that a tram car was only three feet away.
I was awakened early one morning with severe pain in my head. While I was working to clear my thought, these words came to me: Love shall quench the fiery darts of the wicked. Relief came instantly and I went to sleep; but I was slightly disturbed again later. This time a voice seemed to say, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image." That was the end of the trouble. On another occasion I was awakened with cramp in both feet. I arose, but had to return to bed. I calmed my thought and fell asleep. I awakened in the morning with my thought filled with the stanza from the hymn beginning, "A glorious day is dawning." An endeavor to walk showed that I could not do so naturally. Then the thought that I should not like anyone to see me in that condition came to me, accompanied by the answer, Well. God cannot see you in this condition, and no one else can. I was instantaneously healed. Certainly God's gentle presence was felt in that hour of need. Great gratitude filled my heart, for I was privileged to attend a Christian Science lecture the same day.
