GOD'S MINUTEMAN

From the June 1931 issue of The Christian Science Journal

O Love divine, whene'er my footsteps falter,
Because I cannot seem to see the way,
I thank Thee I can reach out in the darkness,
And from my heart rejoicingly can say,
I can be happy anywhere,
In any place, since God is there.

It may be that Thy gracious plans may take me
To scenes and places hitherto unknown.
No sense of separation can o'erwhelm me,
I am not sad, nor homesick, nor alone.
I can be happy anywhere,
In any place, since God is there.

With staff in hand I follow Thy direction,
O'er mountain, desert, plain, or troubled sea.
It is enough to know that Love is calling,
Enough to know that Love is leading me.
I can be happy anywhere,
In any place, since God is there.
