Each successive day makes me more grateful to God that I know of the truths of Christian Science, to which I may cling throughout my entire life. Especially since maturity I realize more clearly than before what a wondrous blessing it has been to be free from the belief in the power of drugs to heal, and what a joy to be able to turn to our Father-mother God at all times for help.
When I was just a child I witnessed the healing of an infant brother of membranous croup; and a short time later a sister was healed of a very bad case of diphtheria by Christian Science. I have been healed of influenza, ringworm, grippe, and stoppage of the ear.
About three years ago, through the consecrated work of a loving practitioner, I underwent the experience of a speedy and harmonious childbirth. The doctor who was called to attend was in the home but one hour, and I had never met him previous to the very hour of the delivery. This demonstration will always be outstanding to me, for during a few minutes of pain I uttered the words, "Dear God," and immediately His answer came in complete relief from pain, proving man's unity with God, good. This healing, due to the practitioner's clear understanding, has enlightened for me these words by Mrs. Eddy (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p.18): "Atonement is the exemplification of man's unity with God, whereby man reflects divine Truth, Life, and Love."
