It is with deep gratitude that I testify to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. I shall never cease to be grateful to the friend who first told me about this truth. This lady stated it so clearly that I knew she had something I did not have, but would like to have. At that time, now more than twelve years ago, I had given up attending the orthodox church to which I belonged, as I could not get any satisfaction from its teachings; I had also given up praying, except one prayer which I repeated every night. I now know that this prayer was one of desire for the truth.
Soon after taking up the study of Christian Science I found that my health was improving: indigestion, rheumatism, chilblains, and other complaints ceased to manifest themselves. I was also healed of the habit of smoking and of taking medicine. My little boy was healed in a few days of measles and chicken pox with the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner.
While I am grateful for the physical healings, which are the "signs following," I am more grateful still for the understanding which Christian Science gives of God, and of man as God's reflection.
