It is with a heart full of gratitude that I give the following testimony.
About eight years ago Christian Science was presented to me by a dear friend who saw my urgent need. At that time I was suffering from an internal disorder, constant hemorrhages, and other discordant symptoms. The doctors advised an immediate operation for the removal of a tumor to which they attributed all my suffering.
Upon the advice of this dear friend, who had but a slight understanding of Christian Science, I visited a practitioner. I shall never forget the peace and joy I experienced upon my first visit to the practitioner's office. She spoke to me about God and gave me a better understanding of Him. I had always thought that sickness was sent from God and that suffering was meant for me. This mistaken belief was corrected on my first talk with the practitioner. She told me that God is Love and therefore He could only bless and heal. She succeeded in removing a good deal of fear, and the operation never took place.
