I am grateful for the blessed privilege of testifying to the healing power of Christian Science as given to us of God through "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
About three years ago my prospects of material existence were so black, and I was so filled with fear, that the very thought of having to go on suffering constantly from day to day seemed, to say the least, unbearable. I was suffering from a disease diagnosed by physicians as nerve paralysis. I had lost my ability to walk or use my hands, and I was confined to bed with no prospects of ever being well again.
At that time I had never heard about Christian Science other than casually, so when treatment by a practitioner was recommended it was looked upon only as a last resort. At that time I thought that there was no God, or that if there was, I did not know where or how to find Him; and I was of the opinion that if a doctor of medicine could give me no help I was without hope. Such was my physical and mental state when treatment in Christian Science was begun.
