I should like to express deep and heartfelt gratitude to God for the discovery of the healing power of the Christ, Truth, as taught in Christian Science by our dear Leader. Christian Science found me when I was practically at death's door, and restored me to health and happiness. The physician said I should never work in an office again, and I was supposed practically to live on medicine; but since my first treatment in Christian Science, seven years ago, I have never touched a drop of medicine. I have been able to do more work than ever, both in an office and out, and with a greater sense of freedom than I had experienced before.
Among the physical healings I have had are those of so-called inherited sick headaches, chronic stomach trouble, astigmatism, and the wearing of glasses. Blood poisoning in the right hand and arm was healed in about three days. I was also healed in six weeks of an agonizing pain in the side, with other complications, which I now believe must have been gall-bladder trouble. I have had many demonstrations of supply, and am so grateful that I am gradually learning to overcome faults of disposition and fear; but most of all I am grateful that I am learning to understand more about God.
Since taking the steps which made me a member of The Mother Church and a branch church, and becoming active in the work of the branch church, I have noticed the disappearance of long-standing physical ills. My desire is that I may be humble and Christlike enough to help carry this promised Comforter to others. — San Francisco, California.
