I wish to express my sincere gratitude for Christian Science, together with my profound reverence for Mary Baker Eddy, its Discoverer and Founder.
From boyhood I had suffered with a badly diseased throat and for over thirty years with a serious stomach and intestinal disease. I underwent two operations, receiving but temporary relief. Through a friend, to whom I shall always be grateful, I became interested in Christian Science, purchased a copy of the textbook, and read it through twice, pondering and studying as I read. The same friend told me of the Christian Science Quarterly and how to study the Lesson-Sermons. I purchased a Quarterly and began to study. Within two weeks I was completely healed of the stomach and intestinal trouble; and soon my throat also was healed.
These healings were quickly followed by others, the most notable of which was the discarding of glasses, to which I had been a slave since my first year in college. I purchased all of our Leader's writings, and joined The Mother Church and a branch church, for all of which I am most deeply grateful.
