I am truly grateful for the many blessings and healings my family and I have received through the study and application of Christian Science.
Our children have been healed of many so-called children's diseases, such as scarlet fever, measles, whooping cough, colds, burns, gum boils, and mumps. I have had healings of sore throat, at times so severe, as to cause me to lose my voice; the habit of chewing my finger nails, and the fear of having some very difficult dental work done. This fear kept me in bondage for fifteen years, but after having help from a Christian Science practitioner it was all overcome. Many business problems have been solved and God's presence and omnipotent care have been realized in time of accidents; and comfort has been received at the passing on of a dear one.
For these trials I am most grateful, for they have brought me closer to God and have taught me to "love more for every hate" (Poems, p. 4). My constant prayer is for that Mind to be in me "which was also in Christ Jesus."
