An acknowledgment of the many blessings I have received through Christian Science can be delayed no longer. These blessings continue to unfold, and each day I realize a deeper sense of gratitude.
I read our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for several years before I took up the earnest study of Christian Science and turned completely to it for healing through reliance on God. I was at this time suffering from what the doctors had diagnosed as low blood pressure, a weakened heart, and anemia, also extreme nervousness. My healing was not rapid; but from the start there was improvement. I never knew just when the complete healing occurred. One by one the various symptoms disappeared. I was so interested in the study of the Bible and our Leader's writings that I did not think of the illness. For two years I devoted many hours a day to this study. My concept of God and man changed, and with my healing I was released from a sense of having been unjustly treated and also of having been for some years very unhappy. My thought was uplifted by brotherly love and forgiveness and a great desire to help others.
I cannot begin to put into words the deep peace and gratitude which are mine now. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, for class instruction, for the privilege of teaching in Sunday school, and for what Christian Science is doing to save and bless mankind everywhere throughout the world.— Ridgefield, Connecticut.
