Because of sincere gratitude to our Father-Mother God; to our Way-shower, Christ Jesus; and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I give this testimony.
I began the study of Christian Science to find help for mental suffering and nervousness, but soon found that "not partially, but fully, the great healer of mortal mind is the healer of the body," as Mrs. Eddy says on page 326 of Science and Health. I am very grateful for the many physical healings which my three children and I have experienced, but my gratitude is even greater for the improved state of thought which precedes healing.
My youngest child was born under Christian Science treatment less than a year after I began to study. The birth was not painless, but immediately after it I was entirely free. I was healed, and it was as though nothing had occurred. Harmony was manifested in the home during this experience to such an extent that it was proof of the statement of truth in a hymn, "The loveliness of Love is all around." Also, I was able to nurse the baby, which had been impossible with the other children, although at those times I dieted and did everything I was advised to do.
